I never gained that much weight in my life.Anyway it was difficult to gain weight becuase i do sports like 4-5 times a week. I broked up with my bf in summer and in a month i gained 22lbs. I felt like gaining weight and when i checked i saw that i have 13lbs extra. i stopped eating and practicing sports all day but i continued in gaining weight!
i suppose that something happent with my body. i gain weight from everything i eat! i donno what to do, i just want my life back. i don`t care about him anymore, then why don`t i lose the weight?
I heard that some people when they are sad and dissapointed in love lose weight. Can it happend the opposite, i mean gain weight?
Please express ur oppinions and let me know what u think about this! Thanks alot for help! |

Hey Marydana! Your cry for help has been heard!
First off, congratulatios on asking for advice. It takes courage. You know you have it now...so you know you can start changing things for the better!
Yes, I believe it is possible to gain weight when you suffer from a broken heart. The reason is you are eating more and exercising less. Plain and simple. food is a comfort to you right now.
You might want to journal your thoughts, get the emotions out on paper.Figure out when you feel like eating and why you stopped sports. Dont let the memories of that boy take charge of your journey in life!
O.k. about the boyfriend..."you gotta wash that man right outta your hair" as the old song goes! (you are waaaaaay to young to know that song but take my word for it...its a good one! )
How about "Survivor" by Destiny's Child
Now that you're out of my life
I'm so much better
You thought that I'd be weak without you
But I'm stronger
You thought that I'd be broke without you
But I'm richer
You thought that I'd be sad without you
I laugh harder
You thought I wouldn't grow without you
Now I'm wiser
Though that I'd be helpless without you
But I'm smarter
You thought that I'd be stressed without you
But I'm chillin'
You thought I wouldn't sell without you
Sold 9 million
I'm a survivor (What?)
I'm not gon give up (What?)
I'm not gon stop (What?)
I'm gon work harder (What?)
I'm a survivor (What?)
I'm gonna make it (What?)
I will survive (What?)
Keep on survivin' (What?)
Get a new attitude (that's a song too!) and start a healthy diet and exercise plan.
You are young and you know you are athletic.
Good luck! |

All kidding aside, Marydana, you can lose weight. I don't want to make light of your situation.
You sound overwhelmed right now.Start here with all of the good advice.
I can give you some simple changes to kick start your healthy lifestyle:
Start adding water to your every day life. Water will get your body in balance,
you become a more efficient calorie-burner.
Your exercise is frequent enough, make sure it is vigorous enough.
As for your diet...only you know where your weak spots are.
If you don't, then write down a week's worth of your food intake.
It sounds silly, but it really makes you face facts! Don't beat yourself up about it though!
Plan to eat three meals a day.
Don't skip a meal.
Don't starve youself.
Don't eat mindlessly, like when you are up late with friends
or watching television, or alone.
Start with a few changes to your diet, make a few additions.
Don't worry if it seems like a slow start, this will take time.
