One small change I've been making is paying more attention to my form when I walk. I walk to and from the office everyday, but never pay much attention to my form. I usually just flop around while I'm walking, loose as a goose! But I've started walking differently - now I walk with my "core" in mind. Just by tightening my core as I walk to work, I can already feel a difference. There are muscles being used now that weren't being used before!! It was very surprising the difference I feel.
How have others been implementing small changes to improve their weight loss success?
All the best,
CSL-Bailey

I've been getting off the bus several stops early and walking the rest of the way to work. At least that's what I do when the sidewalks aren't icy (there's a pretty steep hill involved). But I can do it several times a week lately, getting 20 minutes of good walking in.
I can't wait until it gets dark later so I can do it on the way home too!

I wear a pedometer, and in efforts to get my steps up daily, I now never use the elevator. no matter how far up or down I need to go, I will use the stairs. Also, I walk up and down the escalators instead of just standing on them. every little step counts!

I need to get a better pedometer. Mine is real cheap and it doesn't want to stay in place!

On work breaks, I don't sit in the breakroom and eat. I grab a string cheese or apple or carrots and walk around the office. I also didn't use to eat every couple of hours, but now I do. It helps to keep the metabolism and blood sugar in check.

I take a 32 oz glass to work and fill it with water. I'm able to get my water in this way. If I have the glass of water around me I will drink it. |

Using a pedometer, eating healthier snacks, lots of fruit and veggies instead of junk, and diet.com is helping me big time woohoo!

I like the South Beach Diet.
It works for me.
Right now....I just need a swift kick in the butt to get me started again.
Once you get off track it is hard to get back on..but I KNOW I CAN DO IT !

I have made lots of changes over the last 2 months, but I think the change that has most impacted me is the fact that I eat every 3 - 4 hours. I use to not eat in the morning and in fact could go the biggest part of the day without eating, but I know I always made up for it plus at night!! I am satisfied and feeling healthy - lots of fruit & veggies, protein and whole grains. I eat very little processed food even if it is low fat or sugar free. I am trying to do real foods and its working!
