Are skinny friends like Nicole, a bad influence?
Are your skinny friends a bad influence? In the Diet.com Girls Video there is one example of a naturally skinny friend who can eat anything she wants, not gaining one pound. The careless eating may rub off on you, leaving you to forget that your eating habits and metabolism are much different… and consequently you gain weight.
Then there is another skinny friend of bad influence. I’m talking about people like Nicole Richie. Yes she denies having an eating disorder, but tabloids have reported numerous reports that she has seen therapists, may have had her stomach stapled and can’t gain wait, takes dangerous diet pills among others. We saw her habits rub off first on Lindsey Lohan, who has since admitted she was too skinny. I will call Miss Lohan exhibit A. Now I will submit exhibit B, Sophie Monk. If you don’t know her now, you will soon. She is engaged to Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, the brother of Nicole’s boyfriend, Joel. Since Nicole and Joel got together, the two ladies have been spotted together partying, shopping and of course getting coffee causing Sophie Monk to become tabloid worthy (touché Nicole).
Monk is an Australian pop singer/actress appearing in the movies Click and Date Movie. A recent photograph sparked conversation when she looked like she lost a significant amount of weight. Now, there is a new photograph of her with a cigarette in hand with a coffee. In Hollywood, this is a diet. Kate Bosworth, Mary Kate Olson and Lohan (who has since gained weight and looks healthy to me) have also been photographed with the two necessary accessories to stave off hunger in tinsel town. Here are two photos, one pre-bff Richie and one post influence of Richie.

What do you think? How do your skinny friends influence you? Maybe your skinny friend eats healthy and exercises, acting as a role model for you. Or maybe, you are the friend of influence… “If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?” In school, you are taught to avoid peer pressure, but for some reason, Ms Richie has seemed to influence beyond her adolescent years… Damn reality television stars with no talent!
