Jessica Simpson: Yo-Yo Dieter, Boston Boys Beware
Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore and Heidi Klum came out last night for the 11th annual Accessories Council Excellence Awards (ACE) in New York City last night. Never heard of it? Me neither, apparently this council was created in 1996 to honor individuals and groups that raised the awareness of the accessories industry. Was this really necessary? No. I would think they would want Lohan or Richie because those girls do not go anywhere without a million bracelets, necklaces, head scarfs, bags and sunglasses on at any given time. Anyway, J.Simp seems to be enjoying her time off from work. She is still in great shape, but seems to have gained a few pounds since the last time we saw her running around in tight t-shirts and bootcut jeans. She sure seems to be a Yo-Yo dieter. What happened to the 5-factor?

Jessica also told Extra that she is looking for a Boston boy. Step away, J.Simp, step awaaaay. Just because they won the World Series, TOM BRADY, yeah we have the rights to Ben Affleck, Mark Walberg, John Krasinski, and a bunch of other cuties, doesn't mean they want ANYTHING to do with a media hungry texan like yourself. She said they were the next thing closest to a southern boy. Well hunny, let me tell you, you have got your facts backwards... Boston boys are nothing like southern gentlemen, unless that's just an old saying. We may have the spotlight right now (cough cough, Sports Capital of America or Reebok Nation, that's a joke) but our men are nothing like southern gentelmen and the cute ones aren't from here or don't live here. We don't want your cougar ass here looking for your next victim. |

The Reasonable Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore is really down to earth about weight loss. She says that for her, size doesn't matter, and that she acts like her own role model.
“I feel better mentally -- even if I don’t look any different -- when I’m putting forth the effort to exercise. But having said that, it’s not going to push me away if I want to have a cookie at the end of the day. You have to reward yourself every now and then.”

Moore, 23, who works with The 5-Factor Diet author Harley Pasternak, no longer gets offended when she’s asked to lose weight for a movie role. “It’s not a personal thing, it’s something that I have to do for my job: shape up a little bit.”

She explained, “If I have to slim down now for a film, I don’t mind. I just look at it like I’m just changing my hair or something. If that’s what I have to do for the character, then that’s what I have to do.”

Curvy celebs, the new
Skinny stars are no longer all the rage in Hollywood. Beyonce, Tyra Banks, Jennifer and Hudson have all recently been embraced for their curvaceous bodies and are even gracing the covers of fashion bibles, like Vogue.
In USA Today, there is a great article that illustrates the recent change in attitude towards women who fall short of the size 2.
Says Reed Krakoff, Coach creative director and vice president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America: "We've gone through a period where there has been a lot of focus on women who are too thin. There was a trend toward the very thin, and now there's a trend toward more shapely. People's perception of what's beautiful and acceptable on the red carpet is evolving, and it's great that girls can see different kinds of role models with different body types."
The article also praises America Ferrera, Scarlett Johansson, Liv Tyler and Kate Winslett who earn praise for their fuller figures than the Nicole Richies. These women earn praise from magazines for defying the Hollywood pressure to be stick thin, while Kate Bosworth and Mary Kate Olson are always being questioned with eating disorders.
Jennifer Garner, Eva Mendez and Mandy Moore are also cited in the article for being positive influences in the Industry. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Maybe we are so focused on It girls, and trying to create problems for celebrities who seem to have perfect lives that we obsess about their weight to create the illusion of imperfection. After reading this article, I realized there are a lot of famous actresses who defy the size 0 and 2 image, but why did I ever forget? Here is the link, check it out. What do you think about the article?
