California Lifestyle Fit For Celebrities
Ok, so I just got back from my brothers wedding near Santa Barbara, California. It was so beautiful and perfect. Although I am sad it is over, I am excited to not have to worry about my weight in my bridesmaids dress. Not being aloud to gain or lose any weight is kind of stressful.
First, please check out SHAPE magazine this month. As I was getting on the plane I picked up the May issue to drool over the airbrushed image of Kelly Ripa. Inside there is a fantastic blurb about Diet.com and everyone should check it out!
Now that I am in love with the west coast all over again, I unfortunately did not have any celebrity sightings this time. On Thursday morning we did however go to the paparazzi’s favorite hangout, Robertson Blvd. We had breakfast at The Newsroom Café which is right across from the ever exclusive Ivy restaurant and Kitson clothing store.
The thing about California that I absolutely love is that most restaurants have healthy options that sound amazing, and are not called something like “dieters delite,” egg whites, tomato and cottage cheese. I got a whole grain waffle with fresh blueberries and bananas and some turkey sausage. Why doesn’t the diner down the street start serving stuff like this?
This is why celebrities can eat out so often and not have to worry about gaining weight. I’m sure they aren’t ordering the waffle, but still if every restaurant had healthy options that sounded satisfying and delicious it wouldn’t be a challenge to find something on the menu to order.
Lastly, let us not forget about my favorite LA treat, Pink Berry. I know I talked about Pink Berry last time I was out in LA, but it is truly amazing. If you aren’t familiar with the LA chain, it’s basically a nonfat frozen yogurt place that has all fresh berries (including mango, pineapple, and blackberries), cereal, granola, carob chips, coconut, etc, to mix with it.
It’s the ultimate counterpart to Coldstone Creamery. Copy cat stores are popping up everywhere in Cali and I can’t wait till one comes to Boston. Celebrities even love Pink Berry like Lindsay Lohan and the girls on The Hills.
Also, on the plane I was reading every magazine possible and guess what was on the cover of People last week. “Idol weight loss transformation for Joey Fatone.” Who ever guessed Fat One (I think it was me ?) wins. I’m going to go look now actually at that one.
Another great article to check out if you love copying celebrity diets like me is here, although I have no idea on the authenticity. Hollywood’s Hottest Diet
