Summer Means More Celebrity Weight Loss Headlines
If Janet Jackson only knew her celebrity weight loss woes could be cured with a single Diet.com blog... This week is pretty busy regarding celebrity weight loss tips in Magazine Rack Land. To be honest, it's the season for weight loss and diet headlines. Take a look at any magazine and you will find at least one headline promising to help you shed pounds. People.com this week brings us "The Fit 5: Tips to Feel (and Look) Like a Star!" and it's too bad Janet is not a Diet.com user. US Weekly takes a look at Christina Aguilera's baby weight loss regime and breast cup size!
Apparently her "tip" is to resist your temptations. Apparently Janet "always craves pancakes." says her nutritionist. How embarrassing is that!? I'll add embarrassing revelations and exaggerations to my list of why you don't want to be famous asap. Instead, Ms. Jackson snacks on a mix of fresh blueberries and strawberries, which in my opinion is equivalent to having a stick of chewing gum when you really want the mint chocolate chip ice cream (cough cough Biggest Loser). Nice try People Magazine... If Janet was a member of Diet.com, she would not have to give up her beloved pancakes because I featured this super awesome recipe a few weeks ago for protein packed oatmeal pancakes. Here's the recipe for the Fit and Fabulous Pancakes.
On the cover of US Weekly, you can find out how Christina Aguilera lost her baby weight! Do you care because I don't? The dirrty singer claims she lost 40 lbs of baby weight and is currently wearing a size E bra! How many baby pounds do the stars gain? They all lose it faster than the average mom but do they gain the average amount?
Aguilera - 40 lbs lost
Tori Spelling - 40 lbs lost (with the help of Nutrisystem)
Kate Hudson- Gained a rumored 60 lbs! (lost in 3 months plus 2-3 hours daily exercise)
Nicole Richie- 20 lbs lost 20 days (breast fed and rumored to only eat chicken broth)
Milla Jovovich - Gained 70 lbs!
Heidi Klum - 48 lbs lost
Kate Winslet - gained 55 lbs
JENNY MCCARTHY - 80 lbs!
Denise Richards - gained 30 lbs
LEAH REMINI - gained 80 lbs!

OK conclusion - there is no way Tori Spelling only gained 40 lbs... she is 5'6 and looked like a tank! |

Today is Day One of ME
I saw CSL-Janelle's blog and thought what a great idea for accountablity! I read somewhere that a person should think of everyday as Day One of their journey so they never get into a rut. This has really helped me and I think that having a blog will help me make my journey public and maybe even inspire a few people.
I have a long way to go on my diet and while I have some good days and bad days, they are all days that I am learning about myself and making some progress. Journaling is really powerful, and I hope this public journey shows some people that you can do it and that it's okay to talk about your feelings! |

Pregnant Celebrities Love To Lose Baby Weight
Apparently, it's become trendy again to get pregnant. Nicole Richie had a baby this weekend, so did Christina Aguilera. Nicole Kidman is preggers, so is Jessica Alba and Britney's little sis Jamie Lynn. Even Matthew McConaughey is having a baby, obviously he's not carrying the child. So in order to have a slim down, one must get big. Celebrity mom's love when they shed the baby weight to show off their hot new NOT pregnant bodies. If you haven't been photographed in bikini before your first baby and your a celeb, after the birth of the little blob is your best time to get media attention. Maybe they just have babies for publicity and the diet companies to pay them to lose the weight they gained? Kidding. Sorta.

Trista from The Bachelor and Bachelorette is on the cover of US Weekly this week strutting her stuff in a bright yellow bikini. Thank god, it's not a member of the Spears family again! Here's what they say:
After just five months of dedicated dieting and exercise, Trista Sutter has met her weight-loss goal of shedding all 30 pregnancy pounds.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, Sutter shares the exact diet and exercise routine she maintained to overcome her fears she'd never be sexy again.
"I'm happy with my body," Sutter, 35, tells Us. "I'm confident and proud of the work I've done."
Sutter was eager to drop her pregnancy pounds after giving birth to son Max in July via C-section.
"Every night before I go to bed, I do abs, pushups, and tricep presses. I feel better when I wake up if I've done something to set my muscles and make them feel active," she tells Us.
Her 2,000-calorie-a-day diet and four-times-a-week workouts with trainer Brock Fetch have also helped her marriage to Ryan.
"I feel a lot more fit and healthy," she says. "And I think that's playing a part in our relationship." (Adds Ryan, "I'm just happy to see her happy with herself... and her butt looks great!")
So is the couple ready for another baby? "We've started trying!" Sutter tells Us. "I'd love to have babies close in age. And it took us so long the first time that if it takes us two years, then that will be fine."
Check out the latest issue of Us Weekly for details on Trista's diet and exercise routine, including her slimming secrets and advice you can use.

Lastly, what do you guys think Christina and Nicole are going to do about their baby weight? Nicole probably shouldn't lose a pound she has put on. I bet she either goes extreme and loses a lot of weight or gains more weight and actually develops a healthy body image. As for Christina who has in the past gained weight while on tour, I think she will breast feed, lose weight and then pose half naked. |
