Anne Hathaway Won't Change for a Role
The actress is happy with her figure and says she won't slim down just to please a director. Hathaway said: "I'd rather be strong than skinny for most roles. I'm not a size zero, and I've had directors say to me, 'You're the best actress for the role, but you've put on weight recently'. If people can't understand you've put on 5lbs, I don't want to deal with them.

"If you step outside your world and go places where weight isn't the priority, but eating is, because there's not enough food, you can't cry if your thighs aren't an inch skinnier. Obsessing about weight is a waste of time."
The 'The Devil Wears Prada' star admits she used to worry about her weight when she was a teenager but is over her body issues now.
She explained: "It's completely understandable as a teenager to fret about your body. It's scary because you don't know how it's going to wind up. But I'm not a teenager any more, my body has chosen its shape.
"I can't tell you the number of times I've been told to lose weight. I can't believe it either. I come back two weeks later and say 'can you tell I've lost five pounds?' 'Yes' [whispering] and I didn't do a thing! [laughter].. all illusion, excuse me. I exercise four times a week whenever I can fit it into my schedule. I usually do cardio. About three times a week I run, I do interval running for about half an hour which is you walk for a minute and a half, run for a minute, walk for a minute, sprint for a minute. It's great because it keeps your heart rate up but you don't get tired so you can do it for longer and it's a lot easier on your joints. On a treadmill usually but I try to go outside when I can. Then I do core strength training with weights and everything. I do this one really fun thing where there is this huge enormous weight with two ropes tied to it and you have to pull it and it's called 'the sled'. It's ridiculous. And I also do kick boxing. When I have time I like to incorporate a few dance classes in there and Pilates, yoga is really important but I work out with a trainer at Peak Performance in New York."
She explains, "people don't want to seem that they're obsessed with it and I've always been active. I've been an athlete since I was four years old. I don't like eating really bad food. My body doesn't like it. I get crabby and irritable if I eat too much sugar and I can't eat caffeine. I eat healthy, organic food. I'm a vegetarian and I really like working out so I'm a naturally active person. It's not like I'm out there trying to be skinny. I'm just trying to live a life that I like."
Anne's also a vegetarian. She looks great and is a wonderful role model. Nice seeing a real person!
